Values
Karate as both a martial art and sport expands far beyond the confines of kicks, punches, and throws. Karate-DO translates to “way of life” and that implies that karate is founded on nurturing transferable skills applicable to all aspects of living.
Grit, collaboration, goal setting, and respecting others are the core values we hold and instill in our students.
We believe in developing strong athletes and karate-ka while simultaneously fostering confident characters by encouraging resilience, honor, and self-discipline.
Why Japan Martial Arts Center
With more than 30 years of teaching experience Sensei Kam has had the pleasure of instructing several thousand students, many of whom have become national and provincial champions, reputable karate instructors, and well respected students. These accomplishments are a testament to his teaching skills and experience. Just as importantly, Sensei Kam’s students find success outside of the dojo in their respective fields.
